Janelle Scott

Janelle has more than two decades of experience in debt-related litigation, handling escalated recovery actions, dispute resolutions, commercial litigation and insolvency procedures at large corporate law firms here in South Australia.

Janelle holds a Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice (Honours, First Class) and was the winner of four University prizes during her time at University. Since her admission to the Supreme Court of South Australia in 2003, has worked for some of Adelaide’s leading law firms including Minter Ellison, Finlaysons and Fisher Jeffries.

Her clients include and have included numerous local government and statutory authorities, and private commercial entities ranging from small businesses to publicly listed companies, including publicly listed financial institutions.

Janelle regularly appears as counsel on behalf of both statutory corporations and commercial clients in the State and Federal Courts in relation to commercial and debt recoveries and insolvency matters.

Madeleine Eichinger

Maddy Eichinger commenced working as solicitor with Scott Lawyers in January 2018.  Since that time she has been working exclusively in role of debt collection on behalf of local government and large institutional clients alike, and appears in Court regularly in relation to defended commercial litigation matters, and the investigation examination summons list on behalf of RTWSA and other institutional clients. 

Her keen attention to detail and her exceptional customer service skills in dealing with both clients and debtors alike make her an invaluable member of the Scott Lawyers’ legal team.

Larissa Mazzone

Larissa has been working in the Australian and South Australian debt collection industry since 2010 as a paralegal working exclusively in the area of issuing, managing, monitoring and reporting back to clients in relation to large volume legal debt collection files of debt recovery, bankruptcy and insolvency.  For the majority of that time, she has been working with Janelle Scott.

Larissa has played an integral role in servicing the statutory corporations’ portfolios over the past decade. With not only a detailed knowledge of the requirements for large scale legal debt collections, she also has a detailed knowledge of the specific reporting requirements of large institutional clients, and, combined with a detailed knowledge of the Scotts’ system, is a valued member of the Scott Lawyers’ team.

Larissa has the capability of creating client specific reports with a short turn around time. With not only a detailed knowledge of the requirements for large volume legal collection files for statutory corporations and institutional clients, she also has a detailed knowledge of the specific reporting requirements for those clients.

Deb Osborne

Deb Osborne has been working in the field of debt collection and debt related litigation for the past 40 years. She has been with Scott Lawyers for the past 2 years when Scott Lawyers merged with Marshalls Solicitors, making it the pre-eminent specialised debt collection practise in South Australia.

Deb’s specialist knowledge of the enforcement processes available to both commercial and government clients alike, in additional to her long standing relationships with people within the Court system and the debt collection industry make her an extremely valuable member of the Scott Lawyers’ team.
